Generative AI

Generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) - Introduction.

You will understand 80% of generative AI if you know these five building blocks.

1. AI Agents

These are softwares that can independently take data, analyze that data, take decisions and do tasks for you.

A really good video to understand this concept is this video called "How I Made AI Assistants Work for Me" by CrewAI.

https://youtu.be/kJvXT25LkwA?si=3ITppfTgajVh_jPV

2. Multimodality

This is the ability of an AI model to work with different kinds of data like text, images, audio, video and so on and so forth.

A really good video for this is one that has been created by IBM which goes very deep into. I think you need to start around say the third or the fourth minute, but it goes very deep into multimodality. So that's one video that you can watch. It is called "GPT-4o, AI overview and our multimodal future ".

https://youtu.be/T6DGGHlkYa0?si=x-P87wzs5jYGnwER

3. RAG

This is Retrieval, Augmented Generation or it's the ability of a AI model to actually look into a database for real information before responding so that its results are more accurate.

There's a video by Don Woodlock called "What is rag? (Retrieval, Augmented Generation)", and I think that does justice to understanding this extremely complicated concept.

https://youtu.be/u47GtXwePms?si=O23b5lJ-kuM5V4Vh

4. Fine Tuning

This is using a pre trained AI model and teaching it new tricks based on very specific data that you might have for your particular use case.

There's this video called "[1hr Talk] Intro to latge language models" elaborating large language models that goes very deep into fine tuning.

https://youtu.be/zjkBMFhNj_g?si=7huO6imC8SBnuB7T

5. Prompt Engineering

This is the ability to craft very precise instructions to an AI model so that very specific tasks as per your needs can be completed by that AI model.

There's this video on AI prompt engineering on Anthropic's YouTube channel called "AI promptengineering: a deep drive".

Wish you a happy AI journey ahead.

Robot Suicide

#Suicide of a #Robot (real fact) A robot employed by the Gumi City Council in South Korea went defunct after falling down a flight of stairs. While some have sensationalised the event as ‘robot suicide', experts believe it is more likely a technical malfunction or glitch. The robot was a part of the city hall staff and had been working “diligently” since August 2023, said one of its coworkers. It helped with daily tasks such as document deliveries, providing information to residents and city promotion.  Before the fall, eyewitnesses reported unusual behaviour, with the robot circling in one spot seemingly confused “as if something was there.” The incident occurred on June 27 at approximately 4 pm, with the 'Robot supervisor' found damaged and lying in the stairwell between the first and second floors of the council building. The cause of the fall remains under investigation. Officials believe it may have been due to a navigational error, sensor failure or programming bug. ...

New Indian Law (BNS, BNSS, BSA)

India has recently undergone a significant overhaul of its criminal laws. As of July 1, 2024, three groundbreaking criminal laws have come into effect, replacing outdated colonial-era statutes. Here's a brief overview: 1. **Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS)**: Replaces the Indian Penal Code (IPC) of 1860. BNS introduces innovative measures like **Zero FIR**, allowing complaints to be filed at any police station, and emphasizes timely justice delivery through strict trial timelines¹. 2. **Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS)**: Replaces the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) of 1973. BNSS incorporates technological advancements, such as online police complaints and electronic summons services, reducing paperwork and enhancing communication. 3. **Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA)**: Replaces the Indian Evidence Act of 1872. BSA includes special provisions for crimes against women and children, ensuring sensitive handling and expedited medical examinations. It also updates definition...
